Festival of Trees has attractions for the entire family!


Guests can enjoy browsing the beautiful holiday displays designed by talented local designers, shopping for a present in our Tinsel Treasures Gift Shop, watching performances by local dance and music groups on CenterStage, visiting Santa in the Reindeer Games Children’s Activity Center, driving the engine of the Festival Express train, and so much more!

Tree of Lights

Location: Great Hall

An 18-foot animated tree of twinkly LED lights, synced to popular holiday songs! Watch in awe and wonder, as the light show comes all a glow at different times during Festival.


Location: Great Hall

CenterStage showcases a variety of local talent during general admission hours. Dancers, singers, bands, and choirs fill the Great Hall with wonderful holiday entertainment to add to the magic and cheer.

VIP Baskets have been filled with themed items and giveaways by media personalities, CEO's, key politicians, ​and area business owners! They are placed on an attractive display and raffled to the public. 

Tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Winners are announced at the close of Festival.

Reindeer Games &
Children's Activity Center

Location: Upper Level, River Center South

Come visit Santa and play some Reindeer Games! Santa's Arctic home features games and crafts for all ages. These fun activities are sure to get your little ones in the holiday spirit.

A photographer is available on site to capture this special moment with photographs available for purchase.

The engineers at IMEG (formerly KJWW Engineering) work year-round to create a fantastic display called Festival Express to help support Festival of Trees. Attendees of all ages enjoy the train whistles sounding and sparkling lights as the engines carry them off into a world of enchantment.


For a $1 ticket, anyone can become a train engineer as they navigate their locomotive across the tracks and through the scene. All aboard!

The Gingerbread Village gets sweeter every year! Creations by amateur, professional, youth, and senior bakers are assembled into an incredible edible village that will tempt all your senses.


Each of the deliciously interesting designs will be available for viewing and purchasing – the perfect way to decorate your holiday home with something sweet! Don't forget to vote for your favorite in our People's Choice Award!

Bo the Bear

Location: Atrium, main Festival entrance

This amazing magical friend will likely welcome you as you enter Festival by telling a joke, reciting a poem, or just sharing a warm welcome. Bo is a good friend of Santa and keeps up on the latest news at the North Pole.


If you listen in at various times, you’ll discover this old bear has many different voices, but will always have a cheery word for visitors. Our newest talking friend requests all young visitors stop by and say, “Hi, Bo!”

Art Exhibit
High School

Location: Great Hall, east end

This display showcases the artistic talents of local high school students. It is one of our most popular attractions, showing how much the community appreciates the creativity of talented youth. A huge variety of mediums are featured in this attraction, and awards are given to students whose work best reflects the qualifications for each judging category. You won’t want to miss this display! 

"Be Original" Art Gallery

Location: South atrium, across from the Gift Shop

Find unique and thoughtful gifts for the art lovers in your life! This gallery features original work by regional artists including jewelry, pottery, glass, wood, paintings, and pastels. Browse a selection of items from Quad City Arts' gallery shop in downtown Rock Island!

Designer Displays

The heart of Festival is the trees! These spectacular designs showcase original creations by our area’s most talented designers. Each year, thousands of visitors gather to marvel at the beautiful holiday displays including Trees, Wreaths, Holiday Entries, Hearth & Home, and Room designs. Don’t miss out on your chance to view or purchase these fabulous designs! 

Handcrafted Ornaments & Stockings

Location: Great Hall

These areas feature designs handcrafted and generously donated by local artisans, creative individuals, and crafters.

Individually available for purchase, you can add to your stocking collection and start a new family tradition by collecting an ornament each year!

Small Wonders

Location: Great Hall

Adorable mini-trees, decorated sleighs, dioramas, and other unique holiday specialty creations reside in this section. A highlight of the miniature area each year is the Isabel Bloom sculpture designed just for Festival.


Some of these unique mini-creations are available for immediate purchase. Others can be won via the raffle that takes place throughout Festival.

Book Tree

Location: Second floor, north end

A 20-foot-tall tree filled with books! Every book that fills the tree is generously donated. Once Festival ends, the books are distributed to needy children in the Quad Cities.

Honor Trees

Remember your loved ones this holiday season. Ideal for baby’s first Christmas, commemorative birthday or anniversary, a deceased family member, or a soldier serving our country.

New this year: Honor frontline workers who continue to work to keep our community safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. 


Ornaments are personalized and displayed on one of the Honor Trees. After Festival, they are mailed to your home for you to enjoy as a keepsake for years to come.

New and unwrapped toys of all kinds will decorate this 20-foot Festival favorite, giving it a new look each year.

At the conclusion of Festival, all toys will be donated to Toys for Tots so that hundreds more children in our community may enjoy a special holiday!
